LFC Vs. Leicester City Today @ 2:45

For the first time in a literal decade, the Reds of Liverpool will face the blue and yellow clad men from the North Midlands in Leicester City. While there is no recent history to report on the two sides, the teams both need 3 points.

The Foxes are dead last in the EPL as of today. With a mere 10 points and a sad -8 in goal differential, things have been dreary thus far for Leicester City. The Reds meanwhile, have issues of their own, as everyone knows, and the press on both sides of the pond won’t let anyone forget. Star Striker Daniel Sturridge hasn’t been fit enough to walk a flight of stairs since it was shorts and tank top season, the defense has allowed more late goals off set pieces this year than anyone else in Europe, and big signings have yet to really pay off. Take away Glen Johnson’s bloody and heroic last minute diving header goal to beat a Stoke City team Liverpool should have walloped 7-0, and November is a month to be forgotten forever. But hey, sometimes a win is all a team needs to get rolling. Inspiration is at a premium these days in Anfield. The Reds got a deserved 3 points, even though they only scored 1. The clean sheet from Mingolet and a new look back 4 was massive.

This game should be a clash with spirit and pace. Leicester City badly needs 3 points to not be sent down to the 2nd tier of the British FA. Liverpool badly needs 3 points to move into 7th or 6th in the table and be a fighting competitor for the first time in 45 days. Brendan Rogers needs it probably worse than either. Look for Steven Gerrard to start today after his break on Saturday AM, and Lambert has done very well as of late up top. Let’s see what happens, mates.

2:45 Kickoff from King Power Stadium, Leicester City.

Which means we’ll see you at the pub around 2:15. Your Guinness will be ready.
