The sad day has come. But we shall rejoice. The legend, the Captain, the Great Eight, is playing his last game ever at Anfield Stadium. To put into words what the local Liverpool kid has done, and means to the city of Liverpool, and proud Reds fans across the globe, is quite impossible. There will be tears shed for the skipper this Saturday, to be sure. And we will be singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” at the top of our lungs.
