LepreCON Is Back Again In New Haven.
We are proud to announce that the 2015 edition of the very popular LepreCON Fundraiser Bar Crawl is back in the Elm City. The highly anticipated event happens annually several weeks before St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and features hundreds of revelers dressed in Leprechaun and Irish/Celtic attire parading all over Downtown.
LepreCON, the brainchild of Anna Liffey’s GM Frank Cullimore, started 4 years in 2011 and has grown in size, popularity and local folklore every year. “There’s a SantaCon, and obviously the original Comic Con, why shouldn’t the Irish be spoken for with LepreCON? It’s already right there in the name. It was a given.”
LepreCON kicks of at 2 PM on Saturday Feb 28th. The sign up is same day, at Anna Liffey’s. $10 covers your enrollment, gets you a free pint, entrance and specials at all other participating bars on the bar crawl, and automatically enrolls you to win this year’s grand prize- 2 trips to Ireland from sponsor Guinness. All proceeds go to the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
From Liffey’s, the bar crawl will go to The Russian Lady, Kelly’s On Crown, and Cask Republic- all between Temple and Crown streets, before returning to Liffey’s for the grand prize drawing, food and drink, and a special live show from one of the state’s most talented and buzzed about bands- Lucid Empire.
For 17 years, Anna Liffey’s Irish Public has been a staple of New Haven, CT- for both the Irish-American community, and the metro region as a whole. Over nearly 2 decades, they’ve been a strong ally to the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee. Find out more at www.annaliffeys.com
